What could this mean for the rest of the tech industry?

It’s no secret that Apple adopting a particular technology typically leads other manufacturers to follow suit. So we shouldn’t be surprised if some popular OEMs reveal earbuds featuring a similar camera arrangement over the next couple of years. This also means we can’t rule out major brands like Samsung releasing a pair of Galaxy Buds with built-in cameras sometime in the future.

What can we deduce?

Blindly looking at numbers and for connected products doesn't help much in this case. There's not much to go on here, but we can make some assumptions. First, we know that the A3456 and A3457 are bookended by World Travel Adapter Kits (A3455 and A3458). It's not entirely a bad idea to assume Apple would put some form of accessory into that gap, or that it belongs to unreported variants of that kit. The long ranges of identifiers also point to variants of a product, which is typical of Apple to do. For the longer set from A3436 to A3441, one side extends to become the 15-inch MacBook Air, but t

Why MagSafe wallets?

I still look at MagSafe wallets as a bridge to the future. Once you can pay with Apple Pay everywhere you go and store your driver’s license/ ID directly on your iPhone, you’ll only need to carry your phone when you leave the house. We’re closer to that future than we were a couple years ago, but until it’s fully there, I’m still carrying a wallet, just a much thinner one than I used to. My state still has yet to announce support for a digital ID, either. Ever since getting on the MagSafe wallet train, it’s all I use now, and I don’t see myself going back. It’s one less thing to think about. O
