The Final Fantasy 7 Remake trilogy wasn’t always an unparalleled success though. I think the first game shot itself in the foot when trying to court casual audiences by calling itself a ‘Remake’ despite only containing a third of the narrative, meaning those very same people were naturally curious yet turned off by Rebirth. Just like Zack, Vincent will have his backstory further expanded upon in FF7 Revelation, which will shed light on enigmas like his monstrous transformation, long sleep in Shinra Manor, and brooding, gloomy attitude. It’s hard to say more without outright spoiling Final Fantasy 7, but suffice to say that he is an interesting part of the “world of FF7,” which Square Enix wishes to recreate through the remakes. As some may remember, the first two entries in the remake trilogy released on PC with some issues, and although some were fixed, there are still some lingering issues, such as shader compilation stuttering, that haven't been fixed yet. As such, some may expect the same to happen with Final Fantasy VII Revelation, even more considering Square Enix is working on every other version of the game as well for a multiplatform launch during Spring 2027.
