We still have a lot to learn about Marvel’s Wolverine’s story, especially as it pertains to the typical X-Men timeline and world state. After the State of Play Wolverine showcase, Insomniac Games revealed that the X-Men, as audiences know them from comics, movies, and so on, do not actually exist in the world of Marvel’s Wolverine. In other words, there is no formal mutant-superhero organization formed by Charles Xavier in this universe, just like how there’s no Green Goblin in Marvel’s Spider-Man yet.
