Advanced classes are special enhanced versions of your hero's base class, achieved by acquiring five specific secondary skills and reaching Expert level in all of them. Each class (Might and Magic) has two possible subclasses per faction, and the rewards for attaining one are substantial — abilities like your entire army always dealing maximum damage, all spells costing zero mana, or Necromancy applying to every creature type on the board, not just Undead.
