There is no way you can save Syra in Chapter 4. Killing every guard in the Old Camp during the Flames to the Flood mission will not help with saving Syra, even though the quest log says she is safe, and she won't need to run off. For whatever reason, you can lie to Saturas about meeting Xardas. All this will do is result in the Xardas mission failing, even after all the hard work you've done. Compared to other skills like the Hunting/Gathering, Alchemy, or Inscription skills, which actually allow players to get infinite amounts of money, Pickpocketing is very limited in Gothic 1 Remake. Lockpicking is a decent skill to have, even the Master Version, since it will allow players to significantly reduce the number of movements they need to perform to fit the plates into the right pins before all their lockpicks (or their patience) break.
