What could this mean for the rest of the tech industry?

It’s no secret that Apple adopting a particular technology typically leads other manufacturers to follow suit. So we shouldn’t be surprised if some popular OEMs reveal earbuds featuring a similar camera arrangement over the next couple of years. This also means we can’t rule out major brands like Samsung releasing a pair of Galaxy Buds with built-in cameras sometime in the future.

Why MagSafe wallets?

I still look at MagSafe wallets as a bridge to the future. Once you can pay with Apple Pay everywhere you go and store your driver’s license/ ID directly on your iPhone, you’ll only need to carry your phone when you leave the house. We’re closer to that future than we were a couple years ago, but until it’s fully there, I’m still carrying a wallet, just a much thinner one than I used to. My state still has yet to announce support for a digital ID, either. Ever since getting on the MagSafe wallet train, it’s all I use now, and I don’t see myself going back. It’s one less thing to think about. O
