What could this mean for the rest of the tech industry?
It’s no secret that Apple adopting a particular technology typically leads other manufacturers to follow suit. So we shouldn’t be surprised if some popular OEMs reveal earbuds featuring a similar camera arrangement over the next couple of years. Blindly looking at numbers and for connected products doesn't help much in this case. There's not much to go on here, but we can make some assumptions. First, we know that the A3456 and A3457 are bookended by World Travel Adapter Kits (A3455 and A3458). It's not entirely a bad idea to assume Apple would put some form of accessory into that gap, or that it belongs to unreported variants of that kit. My state still has yet to announce support for a digital ID, either. Ever since getting on the MagSafe wallet train, it’s all I use now, and I don’t see myself going back. It’s one less thing to think about. O
