Cyberpunk 2077 is the open-world action RPG developed by CD Projekt Red, set in Night City and expanded by the Phantom Liberty story arc and the Edgerunners anime adaptation; a sequel ("Cyberpunk 2") is in early development.
Announced by way of the recent Witcher 3 DLC reveal, The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 will end Windows 10 support. This comes as a direct response to Microsoft, which is ending support for the platform as a whole, forcing publishers to scramble and plan for the future. As CD Projekt Red notes, without official security updates, they will need to drop the platform. Here's the full statement from the studio: "Windows 11 will be the minimum required OS for both The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 following Microsoft's end of support for Windows 10 on October 14, 2025. Cyberpunk 2077 Officially Confirms The End Of An EraAs far as Cyberpunk 2077 is concerned, it seems like this is the end of the line for the original release. We got one last PlayStation 5 Pro update that wasn't even on the developer's roadmap, and that looks to be it for the foreseeable future, barring some minor patches that fix hardware/GPU issues. At the moment, CD Projekt Red is looking to the future with a Cyberpunk 2077 sequel.
