We expect that Spider-Man: Brand New Day will follow the pattern of Sony’s other Spider-Man films. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse made its VOD debut on Aug. 8, 2023 after opening on May 30, 2023, while Spider-Man: No Way Home hit theaters on Dec. 17, 2021 and got its digital release on March 15, 2022. That means Spider-Man: Brand New Day will probably swing onto VOD in October or early November.

Sony tends to wait about a month between its digital and physical releases. Spider-Man: No Way Home got its physical release on April 12, 2021, while Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse dropped on 4K UHD digital, DVD, and Blu-ray on Sept. 5, 2023. That means you’ll probably see a special feature-packed Spider-Man: Brand New Day before the end of 2026.

Sony has a deal with Netflix that gives the streaming service exclusive access to its theatrical releases for 18 months, after which they head to Disney Plus. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse arrived on Netflix on Oct. 31, 2023 and didn’t come to Disney Plus until May 1, 2025. Venom: The Last Dance dropped on Netflix on Feb. 25, 2025 – four months after its theatrical release – and landed on Disney Plus on Aug. 25, 2026. That means Spider-Man: Brand New Day will likely begin streaming on Netflix at the beginning of 2027 and come to Disney Plus in summer 2028.

Probably not in the way that matters most. Beyond the Spider-Verse is being billed as the conclusion to the Spider-Verse saga, and there's every reason to expect it will give Miles' trilogy a real ending.
