The biggest reason DLSS 4.5 has felt incomplete is because Ray Reconstruction and DLSS 4.5 simply weren't speaking the same language so far. While DLSS 4.5 had an all-new transformer-based AI model for Super Resolution upscaling, Ray Reconstruction was still built around the older architecture introduced with DLSS 3.5. As such, enabling Ray Reconstruction didn't pair it with DLSS 4.5, and instead, games just internally swapped the entire upscaler back to the older DLSS 4 model, even if the settings menu made it look like you were just ticking an extra checkbox.
