If you’ve got old Game Boy cartridges lying around, the Pocket is one of the coolest ways to play them. Instead of conventional software emulation, the Pocket uses FPGA hardware to closely recreate vintage systems and run original Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and Game Boy Advance carts. Its biggest selling point is the gorgeous 3.5-inch, 1600-by-1440 display, which Polygon praised for its sharp scaling and excellent retro-style screen filters when the system first launched.
