Nintendo Switch is a hybrid game console made by Nintendo, sold as the original 2017 Switch, the OLED revision, the Switch Lite, and the 2024 Switch 2 successor; the line uses Joy-Con controllers and the Nintendo eShop.
Currently, the Switch 2 console comes in at $449.99 / £395.99 / €469,99. That's a bit more expensive than the Switch, particularly in certain European countries. However, that will be changing soon, as Nintendo announced pricing increases worldwide for its latest console in its Q4 2025/26 Financial Report. This will come into effect on 1st September 2026 everywhere, except for Japan, where the price increase will come on 26th May 2026. Expect Nintendo's first-party offerings to be higher than the majority of games. Mario Kart World is leading the way here, priced at $79.99 / £74.99 / €89.99 for a physical copy, which is a premium price. But Nintendo is pricing titles on a case-by-case basis.
