Empulse certainly looks like it could be a winner for 1047 Games, after it failed to captivate an audience for Splitgate 2/Splitgate Arena. Gone are the bright arcadey arena colors of Splitgate, replaced with a tone very similar to Ubisoft’s XDefiant. Whether or not Empulse can build and sustain an audience, though, remains to be seen… But I think 1047 Games’ brilliant movement mechanics from Splitgate, combined with elements of Call of Duty and Titanfall’s mechs, could be an easy winner. After all, fans have begged EA for a new Titanfall game for years and have been met with silence. So props
