What Champions Could be Added to League of Legends Classic?
Riot has confirmed that LoL Classic will bring back old content from the game up until Season 4. This means that Jinx, released October 10, 2013, is the most modern champion that could be added to the game. Andrei ‘Meddler’ van Roon, senior vice president at Riot Games, has name-dropped Jinx as well as Nami, Graves, and Urgot as champions planned for Classic. How Often Will Champions Be Added to League Classic?
In modern-day LoL, champion releases have slowed down, with Locke being the only new character released in 2026. However, Meddler has confirmed that LoL Classic will receive more frequent champion updates. Speaking about Classic getting more champions on Reddit, Meddler said: “We’re thinking quite a bit faster than a few per year, though it does depend on how people engage with Classic, what other features they want, which order we tackle champions in (some take a LOT more work than others to re-create) etc.” He also confirmed that the game’s new community voting system, The Council, will have
LoL Classic is a combination of items, champions, and systems that were previously present in LoL before Season 4. While anchored in Season 3, Classic will also feature much older content, including every single Summoner (even Fortify), and almost every single item from the first few years of LoL, including Atma’s Impaler and Frozen Mallet.
