Going off previous years, there is typically a Nintendo Direct showcase during June. For example, last year's June showcase was the Donkey Kong Bonanza Direct, and the year prior (2024), we got a closer look at Metroid Prime 4: Beyond and other titles Nintendo had planned on releasing later that year and beyond (no pun intended). Despite 2026 being the 40th anniversary of Ubisoft, it doesn’t look like a Ubisoft Forward summer showcase is on the cards this year just yet. We’ll update this space if that changes. The fact there was no Ubisoft Forward showcase last year also doesn’t elevate my hopes any further, but we are due a look at various upcoming Assassins Creed projects – such as Black Flag Resynced – from the team sooner or later, so maybe we’ll get a glimpse of those at some point during the weekend.

The Devolver Direct – a showcase hosted by publisher Devolver Digital – is yet to be announced for 2026. Should a showcase be announced, you’ll be able to catch it on Devolver Digital’s YouTube and Twitch channels. Devolver Digital hosts yearly presentations that arguably stand out among the rest thanks to the surrealist horror storyline that’s often weaved throughout the reveals and game trailers.
