The standalone console costs $450, and you can often bundle it with select games for $500 (though most bundles are currently sold out). Plus, Nintendo recently announced a price increase. Beginning Sept. 1, the standalone console will go up by $50 to $500.

The Switch 2 launched with a Mario Kart World bundle that saved you $30 compared with purchasing the game and console separately. However, Nintendo ended restocks in December last year, and you won’t have much luck finding one in stock right now. There’s also the Pokemon Legends: Z-A bundle, but that has been sold out pretty much everywhere since it first hit shelves. There aren’t any other major game bundles available now, but some retailers do have their own unique bundles of games and accessories, which often include a slight discount.

For the new Switch 2, Nintendo has ditched the colored Joy-Cons for a more sleek, monochrome look — although there are still pops of red and blue around the analog sticks. As of now, Nintendo hasn’t said anything about additional colors. Additionally, it’s rumored that Samsung — which makes the displays for the Switch 2 — is pushing for an OLED version of the console.
